S&A or Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club is a true championship links course which features as an Open Local Final Qualifying Course.
The club has hosted two Ryder Cup matches in 1933 and 1937 and also the British Ladies Open and The British Amateur events.
As you would expect, the club has first class facilities to match its golf course which has managed to retain a real traditional links feel even though many changes have been undertaken.
Set amongst ranges of tall sandhills and smaller sand dunes, the Course is a true test of golf for all golfers. Accuracy is of ultimate importance and you need to plan your drive rather than just hit it as far as possible.
The signature hole is the 16th which features a great hill and bunkers which line the railway sleepers to catch any poor second shot.
No two holes are the same and the club house, which was recently refurbished, looks out onto the 18th green.
Sorry, this club has not added their Membership prices.
