Canterbury Golf Club is situated 1/2 mile from the City Centre in a delightful woodland setting in the heart of East Kent.
An undulating course, densely wooded in parts with spectacular par threes and challenging par fours, Canterbury is an inland jewel. It enjoys easy access to the motorway network and to the Continent
(half hour to the Channel Ports and tunnel).
The second hole is a superb introduction to the golf ahead. Dont be deceived by this seemingly innocent par three. A prevailing wind suggests a club less but the bank in front swallows short shots. A miss over the back results in a very difficult chip and a certain bogey. Make sure you look to the left to see where the pin is on 12. Youll need that later!
The loop of 11 and 12 and 13 is one of the prettiest set of holes in the county. Enjoy the woodland walks and swooping undulations and hope that the scorecard is still intact standing on the 14th tee!
