Our review Scotland is rightly famed for the number and quality of its links courses, so for an inland layout to attract high praise, the design and challenge has to be something special. Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, Loch Lomond meets those criteria, being a superb test of golf located in a setting world-renowned for its beauty. It played host for many years to the European Tour’s Scottish Open and was consistently voted among their favourite venues by Tour pros, who know of which they speak. And the icing on the cake is the clubhouse, the superb Rossdhu Mansion, a magnificent Georgian manor that was formerly home to the Clan Colquhoun. Sadly, Loch Lomond is an exclusive private members club and the course can only be played as a member guest.
