Member description: This profile is the social meeting place for everyone involved with the first ever 24Golf+ Charity Event or anyone else for that matter that wants to offer advice, encourage or just leave a note of sanity.
As you will all know, the 24Golf+ is the first ever golf event of its kind and as one player said to me earlier today 'Its a once in a life time opportunity'. And I can not agree more. Another player, who for now will remain namesless said 'I think I am crazy enough'. So whatever your reasons, what a fantastic way to combine raising money for a great sports charity and the most frustrating sport on the planet - well for me at least!
Post your comments and with 6 months to go, I personally can not wait.
Great News - Alison Nicholas MBE is helping support the event. Alison is a professional golfer who will be Captain of the Solheim Cup 2009. We are obviously very happy that she has chosen to help.
'As a golfer myself, I am very excited about this event. I am in no doubt that it will be challenging, but Im sure it will be fun attempting to find lost balls in the dark! Many thanks for Mulligan+ for organising the event and helping invest in community sports projects.'
Having had the chance to play Brora before, they do have some nasty links style bunkers, so maybe worth practising this. Thanks to Steve Farrell, from www.webgolfcoach.com, of the sponsors of the event, who is joining us at Brora. Feel free to comment.
Whats happening - we are please to confirm that the Mulligan+ Team Event will be taking place at Brora Golf Club on the east coast of northern Scotland. Its a fantastic traditional links course, not particularly long but demanding...and I feel it will only get more demanding at 2am when with torches we might be looking for our balls.
A big thank you goes to Tony Gill, the Club Captain of Brora Golf Club, who is helping us make 24Golf+ a fantastic event by allowing us to play at Brora. He is even tempted to 'join the event' at Brora with us.
