About the Club
Situated at the start of the fens this is a delightful pay and play course
It developed from three holes to five to nine and during 2000 a further three hole were added. In August 2007 6 more holes were added to take the course to the fuil 18.
All 6 new holes have been allowed to mature over a number of years before bringing them play.
The course measures 5487 yards from the white tees with one par 5 and 3 par 3 holes and the rest are challenging par 4's. The Stroke Index 1 hole is the 4th at 394 yards with water on the left from the tee and slight dogleg right into a well protected green.
Around the course there are many strategically placed water features and waterways which mean that you really have to plan you way around the course and when the fenland winds start to blow it can add a quite a few extra shots to your round. There are new water features on th 8th & the 15th and more than 500 trees have been re-planted.
One of the real feature holes is the short par 4 6th with the small green protected by an array of solid pine trees do you fade it round with a three wood or driver or lay up short with an iron?
It is a course that is easy on your legs with no hard climbs and because of the type of terrain it drains very well and is open all year round
