Sonning Golf Club is situated in the heart of the beautiful countryside of Berkshire and its picturesque tree lined fairways will be fondly remembered by all who play here.
The Golf Course was designed & opened for play in 1911 by J.H. Taylor. He of course was from the famous triumvirate of ‘The Open’ Winners - Braid, Taylor & Vardon. Also famously Max Faulkner was an Assistant Professional at Sonning and won ‘The Open’ in 1951 at Royal Portrush with a score of 285.
Peter Alliss has previously described the 6th hole at Sonning, as “one of the best holes in the South of England”.
