Bournemouth's renowned Queens Park Golf Course was once known as arguably the finest municipal golf course in England.
It hosted several PGA events back in the seventies and still remains a fine test of golf at a very reasonable price.
In 1939 the Daily Mail Golf Tournament was held at Queen's Park and it was a regular on the European tour in the 1970's. There remains a distinct sense of history as well as a very mature and challenging course, where management of the game takes the driving seat to power play. During the summer months, Queen's Park is truly one of the great courses in the south of England, and certainly worth the green fee!
Queen's Park Golf Course is in great condition, the best it's been for years. The fairways meander freely through many acres of lovely heathers, colourful gorse and all in a wonderful pine woodland setting. The greens are in superb condition, fast and true, providing a good challenge to even the best golfers. It is definitely living up to its reputation as one of the finest and picturesque municipal courses in the south of England.
