The Oaks' two parkland golf courses are set on free-draining chalk downland. This enables them to be played 364 days a year - we do close on Christmas Day! Temporary greens are employed only during the most extreme weather conditions.
The courses are well maintained with excellent fairways and greens and suit all players at every level of the game.
The 18-hole course boasts a number of technically difficult holes, with well-placed bunkers and mature trees to challenge the boldest drivers.
The Oaks' signature hole - the elevated tee of the par-three 12th demanding a well-placed drive through encroaching woodland and across a narrow valley to a steeply sloping elevated green - is loved and feared by regular players and visitors alike.
Players are required to wear spikes or soft-spiked shoes and every player must have their own set of clubs (clubs also available to hire)
Is open to all. To celebrate the opening of the new clubhouse, membership is offered at only £33 for 2007. Members have private access to their own elegant changing rooms and showers and to the dedicated members' room and bar area overlooking the first tee.
