Course designed by George Lowe in 1895 It is a small but tight and tricky course with excellent greens and provides splendid views across the Lancashire basin from the higher holes Despite thebest attempts of the weather this course is seldom closed even when other local courses may be In 2004 the Club won the BGA Championship a league competition against other Clubs within the Association eg Bolton Golf Club Chorley Golf Club Old Links Special Offers The Internet Golf Club For the 2006 season the Club has opened up a new membership category of Full Member Non Joining Fee which means that a person taking out this membership can play 7 days of the week but is not deemed a shareholder in the Club The Club has vacancies in most categories so call in to the Club mosy evening during Summer for an applciation form or to speak to a member of the Club Council
