About the Club

The Gloucester Golf club offers a superb range of facilities both on and off the course. In addition to the challenging 18 hole course you'll also find a 9 hole par 3 course which is ideal for warming up before tackling 18 holes in the afternoon, and there is even a driving range to practice your swing.

Visitors, groups and societies are very welcome and we offer a great range of packages including accommodation at the Ramada Hotel and Resort, only a few hundred yards from the club. The hotel includes a superbly equipped Sebastian Coe Health Club, which is available to hotel residents, including a gym, indoor heated swimming pool and floodlit tennis courts.

If you want to relax after your round then you will enjoy the Equ-Librium Health & Beauty Salon. Here you can top up your tan, have a back massage, facial and pedicure and the Salon is open 7 days a week, including evenings.

Courses & Scorecards

Gloucester golf Course

The 18 hole, par 72 championship course has been designed to obtain the greatest possible benefit from the natural form of the hillside - the varying undulations as the hill falls from a height of 600 feet to 200 feet at the base of the course: the streams and small ponds which time has worn into the landscape plus many tree and wooded areas which have been left as nature planted and nurtured and which gives the course a natural beauty - and its golfders some natural hazards!

The first 11 holes will have you negotiating the lower slopes with streams running parallel and across the fairways. Enjoy the 12th which is a challenging uphill par 3 before entering the scenic holes which overlook Gloucester and the beautiful surrounding countryside; these incorporate some interesting and tricky holes - especially the downhill 18th where many golfers have tried to drive the green, with disastrous consequences!

In addition to the 18 hole course you'll find a 9 hole par 3 course, ideal for warming up before tackling the 18 hole course in the afternoon.

Gerry Pitman has been the greenkeeper since the course opened in 1976 and, with his team, has turned the course into one of the most well kept courses in the West of England.
