Generous fairways and no impossible carries virtually guarantee an enjoyable round, even if the occasional disaster strikes. At the halfway house, golfers can take a short break and enjoy hot/cold drinks and snacks with toilet facilities.
From the 12th tee, the highest point on the course, spectacular views of the English Channel can be enjoyed, from Beachy Head to the east and Selsey Bill to the west. On a clear day, the silhouette of the Isle of Wight can be seen on the western horizon to add to all ready magnificent sea and down-land views. One particularly important feature of the course is that drainage is very good because it is built upon chalk, making it virtually playable throughout the whole of the year without having to use temporary tees or greens.
Continuous course improvements maintain its reputation as being one of the best courses in the county.
Really rude group of members behind us. Great course but our Society won't be returning.
