Derby Golf Club, a scenic 18 Hole par 70 parkland course.
With picturesque views over a mature golf course, it is suitable for golfers at all levels of skill and experience.
the outward 9 are said to be the hardest in the east midlands, fairways are tight and tree lined down both sides. holes 1,3,5,7 and 9 are all doglegs. accurate driving is key on these holes to give you the best chance of a medium iron into the greens. the inward 9 give you a good chance to get back any drop shots on the outward 9. there are three par 3s of which the 14th is the hardest. usually 138 yds. the green is situated behind a large oak tree and guarded at the front by 2 bunkers. facilities are good, a welcoming club house, good pro shop and practice area. all members and staff are very friendly. play this course 3 times a week.
be accurate off the tees and your 2nd shot is a lot easier, stray left or right and your in trouble.
