Courses & Scorecards

Button Gwinnett Course

With an American theme the Button Gwinnett Course is equipped with 13 lakes and ponds spread over 18 holes. This Championship standard Course boasts spectacular views across the Brecon Beacons and requires accuracy as well as length. The last three holes have been newly designed with a new fantastic lake on the finishing hole just before the Green and overlooked by the clubhouse, making you study your second shot.

The Button Gwinnett course is named after the Button family who resided at Cottrell Park during the 17th Century. Button Gwinnett, was one of the fifty-six men who assembled at Philadelphia in 1776 to sign the American Declaration of Independence, thus becoming one of Americas immortals, whilst one of his forefathers, Admiral Sir Thomas Button, charted the American north west coast, where he named New Wales, Hopes Checked, Port Nelson, and Button Island.

Mackintosh Course

A true parkland course with mature trees up to 300yrs old. This par 72-championship course provides a good challenge for all categories of golfer. The course is well manicured and provides 6,313 challenging yards off the white tees and has been designed around the original features of the rolling parkland, including a Roman Motte. The course layout is well designed with excellent drainage, which allows 12-months golf with no temporary greens, tees or dropping off fairways. The course is slightly undulating making your round an enjoyable walk. With four Par 5s, four Par 3s and ten Par 4s makes the Mackintosh a well thought out and balanced course.

The Mackintosh course, is named after Alfred Donald Mackintosh of Mackintosh the 28th Chief of Clan Mackintosh and Chief of Clan Chattan, who resided at Cottrell during the 19th and 20th Centuries. The course provides 6,313 challenging yards off the white tees and has been designed around the original features of the rolling parkland, including a Roman Motte.
