About the Club

Bramshaw Golf Club is home to two excellent and contrasting courses (the 6,527 yards, Par 71, mature parkland Manor Course and the 5,774 yards heathland Forest Course), situated in the heart of the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire.

The Forest Course offers the unusual feature of playing amongst roaming deer and forest ponies (and even pigs in the autumn!). For those who have visited the New Forest before, the sheer pleasure of being among the unique heathland will be well understood.

Bramshaw Golf - Forest Course

The original course, the Forest, is the oldest in Hampshire. It was built privately on New Forest heathland in about 1865 and became our course when the Club was formed in 1880. The ever-changing scenery of humps, hollows and meandering streams test golfing skills and judgement within an idyllic New Forest setting. Its open aspects and rolling heathland are in complete contrast to the Manor Course. The roaming ponies and deer add to the charm of the Forest Course, and many prefer to play it for its beauty and old-fashioned test of golfing skills. The prospect of a deer emerging from the trees or a mare and her foal on the fairway gives the Forest Course a special and unique appeal.
