Course Description

Originally constructed as a nine hole course in 1898 and later extended to eighteen holes, Wigan Golf Course is a very pleasant parkland course which offers a good test of golf on fairly level terrain.

The extended course was designed by Gaunt & Marnock and incorporates modern specification greens which provide excellent playing surfaces throughout the year.

Whilst not extremely long by modern standards the 6008 yards have stood the test of time with the course record still a very respectable 67 against a par of 70.
