Wellow Golf Course is owned by the Windell family, who previously farmed the land since 1966, and are all actively involved in the running of the Club.

Wilf Wiltshire, well-known local course designer and Professional, designed the original 18 holes in 1990 and a further 9 holes were added in 1995.

John Jacobs opened the Clubhouse in 1992 and remains a good friend and Vice-President, to the Club.
