It's all change at Belford Golf Club which opened in 1993 as a 9 hole parkland course, but was renamed last year THE BELFORD.

THE BELFORD is overlooked by the magnificent 18th century Belford Hall and boasts panoramic views over the North Sea nature reserve of Lindisfarne & Holy Island.

Dozens of new trees have been added and 9 new tee boxes. Goflers wishing to play a full 18 holes will be able to play each hole from two different angles.

Although only 11 years old, this parkland course has matured and is great fun to play, but be warned, it's no push over!

There is a host of things to do out-and-about:

Only 4 miles from Bamburgh, which boasts a magnificient castle, wonderful beaches & Grace Darling's museum. 2 miles beyond you'll find a a bustling sea side resort & fishing village of Seahouses where a short boat ride is waiting to take visitors to the Farne Islands. A short travel of 9 miles will take you south to Alnwick, home to the castle of the Duke of Northumberland (which Harry Potter also sometimes shares), the world famous Alnwick Gardens and Giant Treehouse. There are scenic views of the Cheviot Hills and Holy Island's Lindisfarne Priory.
