Riverside Golf Club is a picturesque course in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It enjoys an idyllic setting, nestling under the Howgill fells in the village of Ravenstonedale. It has been said that it is worth the fee just to walk the course. The course takes the driving out of golf. Riverside is a unique 18 hole, 9 green, small course specialising in par-3 short holes with character 70-140 yard fairways. The course is ideal for first time golfers, young and old, male and female. It is perfect for practising short game and is considered by many local golfers to involve a high degree of difficulty. It offers an hour or two of pleasant golf to members and visitors alike. Set in a beautiful wooded location it is a delight to play. From the M6

Exit the M6 at junction 38 (Tebay). Follow the A685 east towards Kirkby Stephen. After about 6 miles, shortly after passing through Newbiggin-on-Lune, Ravenstonedale is signposted to the right. Take this turn. Drive past the King's Head Hotel on your right. The Riverside Golf Club is on the left after about 200 yards. From the A1

Take the A66 west from Scotch corner to Brough. Turn south at Brough on the A685. Follow the A685 through Kirkby Stephen. About 4 miles past Kirkby Stephen, Ravenstonedale is signposted left. Turn left on to the minor road. The Riverside Golf Club is about 200 metres on the right.
