The course at Northwood Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the finest parkland courses in the area. Arguably, its layout cannot be faulted and it is regarded as a delight to play at all times of the year. Founded in 1891, the Club is Middlesex's oldest and boasts a challenging, well-established 18-hole course, set in wooded, rolling countryside and tests the golfing abilities of all players. The new free-draining USGA standard greens and other major improvements, on the course and in the clubhouse, enhance the enjoyment of Northwood Golf Club for both members and visitors all year round. A warm welcome awaits all players to relax in the well appointed clubhouse or on the new terrace which was built to enable players and visitors to enjoy the view across no less than five of Middlesex's finest fairways. Since the autumn of 2004 the Clubhouse has seen many changes as part of a total refurbishment plan. New locker rooms as well as toilet and shower facilities have further enhanced the ambiance of this highly respected Club. A new extended terrace has been built on the south facing side of the building giving panoramic views over several of the holes. This area provides the perfect spot for golfers to enjoy that well deserved refreshment at the end of their round of golf. On the 1st Floor the 'Gallery Restaurant' which seats up to 60 people, is a popular venue for our visiting societies, private parties and our traditional Sunday Luncheons. |
