This picturesque 9 hole course is located 1000ft above sea level on the West Yorkshire Pennines, overlooking the village of Thornton, birthplace of the Bronte children Charlotte, Branwell, Emily and Anne.

The course is set on the southern slope of the Pinch Beck Valley, which is dominated by the 120 foot high, 20 arch railway viaduct (now no longer in use), which was built circa 1880 to connect to the Bradford, Halifax and Keighley Railway.

Coming from Bradford on Thornton Road (B6145) Headley Lane is on the left hand side, opposite the Blue Boar Public House.

From the Keighley direction on the Keighley- Brighouse Road (A644) the turning is the first on the left after the Keelham traffic lights
