The setting for Hawkstone Park’s two 18 hole championship golf courses and 6-hole Academy course could hardly be better – Hawkstone Park is an English Heritage Grade I landscape and was recently voted one of the top 20 golf holiday destinations in the world.

The three courses were designed in extensive parkland surrounding the ruins of a medieval castle, with the cliffs of the world-famous 18th Century Follies providing a spectacular backdrop.

Head Golf Professional is Stuart Leech, who comments: ‘we’re lucky at Hawkstone to have two fantastic golf courses, each with equal standing. They are two of the best courses in the Midlands and North West and are maintained to the highest standard. The Hawkstone course is extremely scenic for an inland course, while the Championship course is that much more challenging for low handicappers.

‘There’s something for everyone. We like to encourage the entire family to take part, to learn the game. The Academy course is a great little six-hole par 3 and I enjoy playing it myself – it gives an entertaining hour of golf. And the environment can’t be beaten.’
