Denham Golf Club is a traditional private members' club which has been in existence since 1910. The course was designed and constructed in 1911 by Harry Colt, one of the most prolific of golf course designers and to this day its many special qualities reflect much of this tradition. Being situated on a gravel subsoil the course possesses good draining characteristics. The Denham clubhouse is quite unique and dates back to the sixteenth century when it formed part of an original farmhouse building complex. In particular the Dining Room (a large hall with oak beams and stuffed animal trophies) creates a special atmosphere for all who are lucky enough to use it. |
