Noted for being the oldest golf club in Nottingham, golf has been played at Bulwell Park since the 1870s, although the club has only existed in its present state since 1902. Set on mature heathland, its noted for its undulating land and has many tight fairways and old trees.. Five demanding par 3s increase the challenge of playing the course. Its not a long course - measuring 5698 yards from the White tees - but it still provides a challenge for even the most competent of golfers. Bulwell Forest Golf Club celebrated its centenary in 2002. and until recently it was a municipal club, but in 2005 the Club negotiated a long term agreement with the City Council. Bulwell Forest Golf Club Ltd now has full responsibility for the upkeep and improvements and the County's most historic course has a bright future. The course is par 68, with a total length of 5698 yards. There is only one par 5 at 494 yards, but some of the par 3's can be challenging such as the 5th at 231 yards, 12th at 226 yards and the 15th at 213 yards. |
