Balcarrick was originally founded in 1972 under the name of Dublin & County Golf Club. The club changed its name in 1992 to Balcarrick Golf Club and moved to its current location. The course was designed by Barry Langan and is a magnificent and challenging 18 hole Par 72 golf course, measuring over 6000 metres. Each hole has it's own particular feature and proves a stern test for even the most accomplished golfer. Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards ensure that high levels of accuracy and skill are required to achieve a 'championship' score.

Balcarrick Golf Club is situated in Donabate County Dublin, while it is close to the beach, the course is parkland in texture and water is a feature on 10 of the 18 holes. The Par 3's are particularly challenging and par is not guaranteed!

From Malahide Take (R124) road to Swords, at roundabout take turn 2 for Skerries, continue R132 1 mile follow signs for Donabate, approx 1 mile past Swords at 2nd roundabout, Turn Right for Donabate continue on to Donabate Village, Over the Railway Bridge past Smyth's Pub turn right, proceed towards Beach, road signs show the way to Balcarrick, 250mts from Beach turn right, follow road for 1 KM Balcarrick is on RHS

From North Take the main Belfast - Dublin road (MI) heading south. Take Skerries Exit, Turn left at top of slip road, take 2nd exit at roundabout (approx 20mts) for Donabate, continue on to Donabate Village, Over the Railway Bridge past Smyth's Pub turn right, proceed towards Beach, Road signs show the way to Balcarrick, 250mts from Beach turn right, follow road for 1 KM Balcarrick is on RHS From South Take the N7/M7 to the M50 interchange, Take M50 Northbound, (Toll Road Fee 1.30 Euro) Proceed M50 northbound to junction interchange for Airport/M1 Northbound, Take Belfast exit (M1) proceed north 4 miles, Take Skerries Exit, at 1st roundabout take R132 for Skerries, at 2nd rounabout (approx 20mts) take right turn for Donabate, continue on to Donabate Village, Over the Railway Bridge past Smyth's Pub turn, proceed towards Beach, road signs show the way to Balcarrick, 250mts from Beach turn right, follow road for 1 KM Balcarrick is on RHS
