Axecliff Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in Devon having been founded in 1884. It is a splendid course and has the distinction of having been designed by legendary golf course architect and five times open winner in the early 1900s, Scotland's James Braid. A testing cliff top golf course, which offers a challenge to all categories of golfers combined with breathtaking views over the cliffs of Lyme Bay and inland views over the countryside. It would not be biased to say that Axe cliff is not only one of the most stunning golf courses in the Southwest, but it is also is one of the most competitively priced. |

You can see the 16th green from this hill (look to the sea, left & at the clifftop).Bare left along Harbour Road (Lyme Bay Holiday Village on your left) , go over small bridge & Squires lane is up on the right. Alternatively stay on A35 (pass Colyton Village) and Axecliff is signposted not far past the village. Course is situated opposite the river (left handside) just before the small bridge that enters Seaton from the Axmouth direction.
