The course itself measures 6,334 yards from the whites, 6,116 from the yellows and 5,381 for ladies.
Ashton & Lea is a fairly flat course and provides a fair test of golf for players of all abilities, but it is a course that requires the player to think and plot his or her way round.

From Southbound M6 Take Exit 32 (Broughton). Follow A6 signs for Preston (Garstang Road). At junction with Blackpool Road (by Moor Park) turn right onto Blackpool Road. The Club is approximately 2.5 miles along this road, signposted to the right by the 'Toby Carvery'.

From Southport A59 Follow A59 onto flyover, take first exit signposted Riversway & Docklands. Follow Lytham St Anne signs to traffic lights by MacDonalds. Turn right into Pedders Lane. At top of hill/traffic lights turn left onto Blackpool Road. the Club is approximately 1.5 miles along this road, signposted to the right by the 'Toby Carvery'.
