Allendale Golf Club (Unmanaged)
Laid out on a west facing hillside at High Studdon, it commands superb views of the Dale of Allen. With its scattering of remote farm buildings and the Cheviots which dominate the northern skyline some 40 miles away, it is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. The nine hole course has been described by many as "challenging" and boasts many interesting obstacles. It is certainly not for the fainthearted but, time and again, visitors return determined to beat the ditches, gullies, and wooded fairways that make Allendale so special. |
