Commissioned in 1865 for Lord Walsingham as a wedding present for his eldest daughter, Aldwark Manor is set in picturesque parkland grounds close to the historic city of York.
Hotel:
Each room is individually decorated and the hotel has comfortable bars as well as the superb Brasserie Restaurant. The Terrace Bar is also available for less formal dining.
There is a range of top class leisure facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool, spa pool, state-of-the-art gym, fun and drench showers plus health and beauty treatments. A point of interest is that the hotel was used by the RAF Wing Commander Guy Gibson during the Second World War to plan the legendary Dam Busters raid and there is some interesting memorabilia from the period on display.
